MATERIALS
This product is made from diatomaceous earth. It is collected from the strata formed by sediments of phytoplankton that lived in the sea and lakes. It has a porous structure and has numerous micrometer ( 10-6 m) micropores inside, so it has excellent water absorption and moisture retention, as well as deodorant and humidity control properties. It is also characterized by having various colors depending on the climate of each region.
CARE
Although it is an attractive material with excellent water absorption and heat resistance, it is a delicate product that contains a large amount of water and may become brittle or mold if kept in high humidity environments.
The basic care is sun drying. Please avoid washing the dish with soap as it may cause clogging and mold.
If it gets dirty or stained, apply bleach, rinse it with running water within 1 minute, and dry it thoroughly in the sun, please avoid leaning against a wall when drying in the sun.
Damp items may damage the surface of the diatomaceous earth causing it to melt and peel off, cause discoloration or colour transfer. This is not an issue with the quality of the product.
