ABOUT
Founded in 1929 in Fukuoka, Japan, Masuda Kiribako Co. is well known for their hand-crafted gift boxes and containers made from Kiri wood also known as Paulownia wood. This traditional technique of crafting wood boxes without the use of hardware such as nails and screws is an art form dating back to the Heian era. Kiri wood has been used since the Edo period for making "kiribako" (kiri boxes). They specialize in making boxes like this one without the use of nails or screws.
Each container is stackable and features a magnetized wooden measuring cup which couples with the lid for ease of locating inside the container.
